Heartwarming & Reflective 

An unexpected moment that touched my heart today. ❤️

The hall had emptied out, the lights were winding down, and we were wrapping up a beautiful Holy Communion function. As the last of the guests were leaving, this wonderful little boy—the star of the day—walked straight up to me.

With the biggest smile, he said:

“Uncle, food okke nalla super aayirunnu… ella fooodum eniku ishtayi!” (Uncle, the food was super… I loved everything!)

I was completely taken aback. When I was 10 years old, I don’t think I would have ever had the courage or the awareness to walk up to an adult, recognize them as the person behind the scenes, and express appreciation like that.

When I asked him if he’d be willing to share his thoughts on video, he didn’t hesitate for a second: “Yes Uncle, I will!” The sheer grace, confidence, and warmth with which this young boy narrated his experience was nothing short of amazing.

Children are the ultimate, most honest food critics. They don’t speak out of politeness or social obligation—they speak straight from the heart. To receive a live, unfiltered blessing like this from a child on his special day is the greatest reward I could ever ask for.

It’s moments like these that make all the sleepless nights and hard work worth it. Standing there, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude to the Almighty, and a quiet moment of pride in the legacy we are building.
