“Why did you seek me? Did you not know that I must be about my father’s business?”
— Luke 2:49
The story behind Luke 2:49 is one of the most relatable moments in history for any parent or leader. At just twelve years old, Jesus had traveled to Jerusalem with His family for a festival. When it was time to leave, His parents, Mary and Joseph, realized He wasn’t with the group. After three days of frantic searching, they found Him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening and asking questions.
When His worried mother asked why He had stayed behind, He gave a profound reply: “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about my father’s business?” Even at a young age, He understood that His life had a specific mission rooted in His Father’s work.
In this verse, I find a profound sense of purpose that resonates deeply with my own journey. As the Managing Director of Grace Caterers and Experience, these words serve as my daily motivation.
Transitioning this second-generation business into its next chapter has taught me that true leadership is, above all, an act of stewardship. My father founded this company on a bedrock of specific values—integrity, passion, and a commitment to excellence.
Today, my mission is to ensure that every event we handle and every experience we create reflects that founding spirit. Stewardship isn’t just about maintaining what was; it’s about honoring the past while innovatively growing for the future.
We are honored to serve our clients in Kochi, Alleppey, and beyond, keeping the “family business” spirit alive in every plate we serve and every memory we help create.
